The Congressional Women’s Softball Game Organizing Committee welcomed the Women’s National Softball Team on January 23, 2020 as part of their Stand Beside Her Tour in Washington, D.C.

We were fortunate to have the opportunity to grab coffee together and chat about the importance of women’s sports, our commonalities, and the mission of the Congressional Women’s Softball Game. The USA Softball Women’s National Team, which is sponsored by Major League Baseball, was in town as part of the “Stand Beside Her Tour,” a series of competitions and training leading up to the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. We hope to see you again in 2021!

Congressional Women’s Softball Game

Members of Congress and the Washington, DC Press Corps battle it out on the softball field to raise funds and awareness for young women with breast cancer.

Proceeds from the Congressional Women’s Softball Game benefit Young Survival Coalition, the premier global organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women who are diagnosed with breast cancer.

Join us again this year when a bi-partisan group of women Members of Congress take the field against the the women of the DC Press Corps. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased prior to the game (coming soon!). Free admission for children 5 years old and younger.

“Every year, this game is a shining example of how women leaders in Congress – Republicans and Democrats – can come together to take on the women of the Washington press corps and, most importantly, raise funds and awareness for young women with breast cancer.”

- Rep. Gabrielle Giffords
