Welcome to the Congressional Women’s Softball Game website where you will find all the information you need about Members of Congress and the Washington, DC Press Corps (aka the Bad News Babes) battling it out on the softball field to raise funds and awareness for young women with breast cancer. This year marks the fifth year for the Congressional Women’s Softball Game which has become a Washington, DC summer event that cannot be missed!!!
Join us on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 when a bi-partisan group of women Members of Congress take the field against the the women of the DC Press Corps. Both teams have wins under their belts and the battle continues year after year. In 2012, the Press Corps team dominated early in the game but the Members of Congress came back within three runs – it was intense! Ultimately, the Press Corps won with a score of 13-10 and now the Members of Congress are out for revenge.
Last year, more than 800 people attended the Congressional Women’s Softball Game! Get your tickets now. . . they are $10 and can be purchased online prior to the game. Free admission for children 5 years old and younger. Proceeds from the Congressional Women’s Softball Game benefit the Young Survival Coalition, the premier global organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women who are diagnosed with breast cancer.
